Esska Loves Coral...

Coral always makes a welcome appearance in our summer wardrobes. It's a fresh colour that has the perfect balance of bright and feminine but not too girly. Team Coral with a neutral Grey or Nude or chose an accessory in this fab colour for a more toned down chic look.

Colour on the catwalks

We were not the only ones inspired by colour this season. Fluorescent pink was shown at Erdem, Bright Red at Jil Sander, and Electric Blue and Purple at Opening Ceremony.

You can add some of these summer bright's to your wardrobe with Esska's SS13 collection and let the colour lift your mood and outfit!

Behind the scenes....Micam tradeshow Milan

Esska stand at Micam Tradeshow. www.esska.co.uk

Last week Esska showed at Micam Tradeshow once again in Milan to showcase our AW13/14 collection! We had a fabulous time as always meeting new and existing clients and talking them through our collection. We loved our new look stand that was in the International designers area had a great time mingling with other footwear brands from the UK. Aside from all the hard work we also found time to enjoy the delights of Milan and had some fun (of course!).....here are some of our pics from our trip, see you next time Milan.

Our Premiere Classe favourites

We were in Paris a few weeks ago showing at the trade show ‘Premiere Classe’. Whilst having a look around we spotted some brands we loved and have highlighted some of them. We adored the paper jewellery of Sandra Di Giacinto, the gorgeous handbags of Delphine Conty, the cutest Haflinger children’s slippers, the beautiful sophisticated jewellery from Anne Thomas, and of course not to forget an updated version of Esska‘s best selling style Hanya for next winter in aubergine patent!

Behind the scenes… Next winter’s collection showed in Paris.

Yes!! we have designed our Autumn Winter 2013/14 collection, received the samples, did our photoshoot, and started selling!! I just can’t believe how fast the whole cycle is…

Our first trade show was in Paris, at the famous ‘Premiere Classe’, part of ‘Who’s next’. It was me and Noura who went to Paris. I really had to go, so I can make sure the French wine and food standards have not changed.

Here is our little journey, and the start of a fantastic selling season.

  • I took the Eurostar at 6am. (and slept nearly all the way). It was snowing and snowing and snowing. I took the Eurostar at 6am. (and slept nearly all the way). It was snowing and snowing and snowing.

What to do this January

Are you feeling a little blue after all the festivities? Here at Esska we have put together some things to do that we think are inspiring, fun and not to be missed!

1. Watch Fuerzabruta at the Roundhouse www.roundhouse.org.uk

2. See the ‘Perfect place to grow’ exhibition at the RCA www.rca.ac.uk

3. Vistit Brixton Village for something to eat http://bmtf.org.uk/

This hedonistic Argentinian theatrical extravaganza re-opened the Roundhouse in 2006 and now it's back for a second time. 'Fuerzabruta' (it means 'brute force') is an eye-popping barrage of sights, sounds and stunts that includes scenes of a man charging through a series of moving walls and a giant fishtank stuffed with performers that descends upon the audience. Artistic director Diqui James and musical director Gaby Kerpel also created 'De La Guarda'.

Get down to the RCA & see the 'Perfect place to grow exhibition' marking it's 175th Birthday. The exhibition celebrates the college's alumi over the years and the amazing collection of work that has been produced. Artiists include Tracey Emin, Henry Moore, Barbara Hepworth & David Hockney.
